Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This position will creatively address the identified critical customer needs with innovative lighting solutions that utilize our company's strengths. Focusing on High Bay (including industrial and retail) and Special Applications (including demanding environments, healthcare, and unique relighting projects), he or she should be able to recognize the typical environmental conditions and lighting performance requirements for which we as a team can build a better value product. This design engineer has the technical skills and professionalism to help guide the team rapidly to develop modified products to successfully meet specific project objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Lead design of modified or new industrial and special application fluorescent lighting fixtures following Lean principles while adhering to demanding timeframes established by customers, from concept to final production;  2) Support expansion of existing product lines in rapid response to customer-driven opportunities by adding vendor-supplied components, reviewing and editing bills of material, updating designs, and documenting changes in Oracle-based programs; 3) Work with fellow team members to provide technical analysis and documentation in the form of installation and assembly drawings, complicated wiring diagrams, material spreadsheets, Powerpoint presentations, and email.  4) Communicate with component vendors and company's own factory representatives to promote product improvements and cost savings in new and existing parts and finished goods. 5) Participate in matrix organization meetings and work sessions to improve productivity, quality, and safety, and to better understand customers' and company's priorities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in technical field; 2+ years AutoCAD experience
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
BS Engineering: Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial; Sheet metal design experience; Lighting industry experience; Inventor and/or Pro-E experience; Familiarity with UL Standard 1598 and NEC

Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Charged with establishing and cultivating business and professional relationships with our agencies, distributor partners and contractors. These relationships should be leveraged to profitably grow our market share and drive sales of Lithonia products within the stock and flow arena. Responsible for being the company's eyes and ears within the marketplace and serve as the voice of our customer to internal company functions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned. 
Work with the regional sales team (RSVP, RSM, Agency) and product value streams to develop sales targets. Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
Develop and implement distributor development plans by category for key partners in assigned market. Drive the success of these plans by utilizing the full range of ABL capabilities.
Establish and maintain current and potential customer relationships. Understand their business models and develop value add solutions to profitably grow our market share of speculative and discretionary lighting sales.
Provide product, policy and program training for current and prospective distributor partners. This is achieved through on-going training and communication with internal functions back in Conyers as well as direct field contact with distributor personnel.
Develop stock and flow strategies for designated territory. Analyze and identify what is being sold and stocked within our distributors' locations and the underlying reasons for this. Visually inspect our distributors' shelves and meet with key distributor salesman during calls.
Increase registrations and usage of Lithonia's online tools, specifically the Lithonia Distributor Center. Educate our distributor partners on the capabilities and values of this tool to increase stock and flow sales and lower our transaction costs.
REQUIREMENTS: 
Bachelor's degree preferred. 2 - 5 years experience. Understanding of lighting products and lighting business and distribution; Strong interpersonal and effective consultative selling skills required.
Effective presentation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Past experience in variable pay sale role.

Training of inside staff at agency. Quotes, customer service personnel, management, projects people all have opportunity to recommend assigned product lines. Goal is to have them make substitutions on projects or when working at the distributor and contractor level.
Responsible for interacting with product management in collaborating with the development, deployment and implementation of Sales/Marketing strategies and long range plans and then projecting those plans to the marketplace.Assist in the overall marketing efforts of product lines by attending product development meetings with engineering. PURPOSE OF POSITION:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Lead design of modified or new industrial and special application fluorescent lighting fixtures following Lean principles while adhering to demanding timeframes established by customers, from concept to final production;  2) Support expansion of existing product lines in rapid response to customer-driven opportunities by adding vendor-supplied components, reviewing and editing bills of material, updating designs, and documenting changes in Oracle-based programs; 3) Work with fellow team members to provide technical analysis and documentation in the form of installation and assembly drawings, complicated wiring diagrams, material spreadsheets, Powerpoint presentations, and email.  4) Communicate with component vendors and company's own factory representatives to promote product improvements and cost savings in new and existing parts and finished goods. 5) Participate in matrix organization meetings and work sessions to improve productivity, quality, and safety, and to better understand customers' and company's priorities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in technical field; 2+ years AutoCAD experience
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Key Responsibilities
&bull; Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned. 
&bull; Work with the regional sales team (RSVP, RSM, Agency) and product value streams to develop sales targets. Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
&bull; Develop and implement distributor development plans by category for key partners in assigned market. Drive the success of these plans by utilizing the full range of ABL capabilities.
&bull; Establish and maintain current and potential customer relationships. Understand their business models and develop value add solutions to profitably grow our market share of speculative and discretionary lighting sales.
&bull; Provide product, policy and program training for current and prospective distributor partners. This is achieved through on-going training and communication with internal functions back in Conyers as well as direct field contact with distributor personnel.
&bull; Develop stock and flow strategies for designated territory. Analyze and identify what is being sold and stocked within our distributors' locations and the underlying reasons for this. Visually inspect our distributors' shelves and meet with key distributor salesman during calls.
&bull; Increase registrations and usage of Lithonia's online tools, specifically the Lithonia Distributor Center. Educate our distributor partners on the capabilities and values of this tool to increase stock and flow sales and lower our transaction costs.
Minimum Requirements
