Another key principle of this job is to protect life and property, to enforce all State laws and University regulations on the campus and properties of Abilene Christian University, thereby providing a safe environment in which students can be educated for Christian service and leadership throughout the world.
Scope: Responsible to the Chief of Police/Director of Public Safety of the ACU Police Dept - is responsible for carrying out the mission of the ACU Police Department, working with Campus Life and supporting other departments and divisions within ACU in the overall university mission of promoting student education for Christian service and leadership throughout the world while protecting lives and property and enforcing all State laws and university regulations on the campus and properties of Abilene Christian University.
I. Basic Responsibilities:
A. Protection of life and property on the campus and other properties of Abilene Christian University providing for the overall safety of persons and the protection of University and personal property.
B. Enforcement of all local, State and federal laws on the ACU campus and other ACU properties as well the enforcement of all applicable university rules and regulations concerning parking and other university regulations on the ACU campus.
C. Provide patrol, respond to calls for service and maintain enforcement of local, State and federal laws off-campus within the extended jurisdictional area provided between Abilene Police Department and ACU Police Department.
D. Conduct initial on-scene investigations and filing of appropriate offense reports both on-campus and within the extended jurisdictional area as agreed upon by Abilene Police Department and ACU Police Department.
E. Providing other safety and security services to ACU faculty, staff and visitors as needed.
II. Essential Duties include the following.Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential function.
A. Protection of life and property.  
* Patrol of all ACU campus and properties. Patrol may include foot patrol, vehicle patrol and bicycle patrol.
* Respond to all emergency call for service on ACU campus, all other ACU properties, as well as within the extended jurisdictional area agreed upon between the City of Abilene Police Department and the ACU Police Department.
* Investigate all suspicious activity reported or observed on ACU campus, properties or within the extended jurisdictional area shared between Abilene Police Department and ACU Police Department.
* Patrol and monitoring of all campus buildings, locking/unlocking as needed.
* Work closely with Campus Life and Residence Life Education and Housing personnel regarding security and personal safety needs for all members of the ACU community residing on ACU campus in ACU housing.
* Maintain relationships with APD officers assigned to ACU area, communicating information as needed between APD and ACU-PD.
B.Enforcement of all laws and university policies/regulations on ACU campus and properties.
* Maintain a working knowledge of all applicable local, State and federal traffic and penal laws, fairly applying and enforcing them within the ACU jurisdiction.
* Monitor all ACU parking lots for violations of university parking regulations and issue applicable citations to violators and vehicles.
C. Conduct initial on-scene investigations and filing of proper reports.     
* Respond to all calls for service within university jurisdiction, extended jurisdiction, or as requested by outside law enforcement agencies.
* Assess situations, determining offense if any, conducting initial interview with victims, suspects and witnesses as applicable.
* Notify other emergency response personnel as needed. Assist other law enforcement agency personnel and other emergency response personnel as required or requested when incident occurs outside of or adjacent to university police jurisdiction.
* Complete and file proper reports and forms as required by departmental policy and/or law.
D. Providing other safety and security services to ACU faculty, staff and visitors as needed.
* Provide safety/security escorts of individuals on campus when requested.
* Assist members of ACU community with vehicle unlocks and jumpstarts on or near ACU campus when requested.
* Assist with unscheduled unlocks of buildings /offices as requested by ACU faculty or staff.
* Maintain a service-oriented attitude at all times.

* Good interpersonal skills and specifically the ability to positively and professionally interact with people in enforcement situations, which often create stressful or negative encounters with people.
B. Training Modules Required
* Complete annual training hours as required by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCLEOSE) for annual validation of Texas Peace Officer License.
* Annual firearms training and qualification scores as mandated by TCLEOSE and Departmental policy.

Scope: 
This position reports to the Associate Vice President of Operations. The incumbent will lead and direct all basic architectural services and construction supervision functions for the University. This includes new construction and renovation of existing structures. They will assist in evaluating and maintaining the Campus Master Plan. In addition the incumbent will coordinate closely with the Director of Physical Resources to ensure harmony with the preventative maintenance plan and routine maintenance. 
The decisions associated with this role will have considerable impact upon the outcome of projects undertaken. Furthermore, by their nature, these projects will have considerable impact on the entire university. Scope: Plan and lead overall fundraising strategy to build broad-based constituent goodwill and maximize gifts to ACU's Annual Fund. The Annual Fund provides unrestricted current support for ACU students, programs, and faculty, helping bridge the gap between tuition revenues and the actual cost of providing an ACU education. Annual Fund donors include alumni, parents, faculty, staff, students, and friends who are solicited for a gift every year through a variety of methods, including personal solicitation, direct mail, phoneathon, and email/web.
I. Basic Responsibilities:
* Develop strategies to meet yearly fundraising goals for the Annual Fund.
* Hire, train, and manage Annual Giving fundraising and support staff.
* Manage and solicit a small portfolio of assigned prospects.
* Represent Annual Giving in contacts with faculty, staff, trustees, donors, and prospective donors.

* Work with staff to develop and monitor comprehensive mass solicitation calendars, strategies, messaging, and budgets for mail, phoneathon, email, and personal solicits.
* Analyze reporting data throughout the year so program adjustments can be made as needed.
* Work with development, marketing, and creative services staff to provide information and stewardship about the Annual Fund to external and internal audiences.
* As needed, write fundraising copy and assist in vendor negotiations.
B.   Hire, train, and manage Annual Giving fundraising and support staff.
* Set goals with each Annual Giving Officer (AGO) related to face-to-face visits, solicitations, and dollars raised. Coach, motivate and evaluate the progress of each Annual Giving Officer.
* Set goals with the Annual Giving Project Manager related to critical deadlines, desired revenues from mass solicitations, and budgetary constraints. Coach, motivate and evaluate the progress of the Annual Giving Project Manager.
* Provide data and reports to assist in their efforts.
* Work with Development Division departments and other key university outreach units to ensure the Annual Giving personnel are adequately trained and mentored.
* Work with AGOs, senior development officers, research, and director of development to appropriately assign prospects for discovery or for hand-offs to other personnel.
C.   Manage and solicit a small portfolio of assigned prospects.
* Solicit each prospect a minimum of one time per year for a leadership gift ($1,000+) to the Annual Fund.
* Provide additional contacts with prospects throughout the year to express gratitude and keep them informed on campus happenings.
* Visit prospects personally as appropriate and feasible based on location.
D.  Represent Annual Giving in contacts with faculty, staff, trustees, donors, and prospective donors.
* Assist director of development as needed with Annual Fund solicitations for members of the Board of Trustees.
* Participate in development events such as President's Circle Dinner, trustee breakfasts, campaign gatherings, ground breaking and dedicatory ceremonies, and other campus events.
* Provide Annual Giving reporting for the Board of Trustees and campus leadership.
* As schedule allows, participate in non-development events that provide opportunities to build relationships with constituents.
