Must Have
Bachelors Degree
Doctorate in Medicine from an accredited university
Completed Residency Training Program
Three to five years recent clinical experience
Two or more years experience in Utilization Management (UM) or Disease Management (DM)
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel
Strong organizational skills

Strong oral and written skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and adapt to team approach as necessary
Current Board Certification or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, or Pediatrics

Active medical license in the State of employment
50 category I AMA credits per year while employed at AH
RESPONSIBILITIES
Onsite support of UM/CM, DM and Maternity program
Remote support of UM/CM/DM/Maternity programs in other AH centers
Participation in the UM after hours call (telephonic)
Active participation in the Clinical Team activities, meetings, and projects
Active participation in clinical guidelines review and development process
Active participation in meetings with clients as required
Occasional travel

Updates the ActiveAdvice computer system with clinical and decision rationale
Client Relations/Sales Prospect Relations
Planning and delivery of staff education

Disease Management Nurses:

You'll play an essential role providing support for the Disease Management program by providing services to the content development team, services to the clinical staff delivering the program and by providing more in depth clinical education to members via telephonic services. Because the program makes outreach calls to members from 8:30 am to 9:00 pm flexibility with work hours is essential.
Required Experience/Skills:
Clinical Exercise Physiologist with a BS degree, certification from the American College of Sports Medicine with a minimum of 3-5 years recent experience working in cardiac rehabilitation, hospital fitness program or a medically supervised exercise setting with a high risk population. Must have experience providing individual consultations and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. In addition, possess strong organizational skills, effective time management and strong teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience/Skill:
MS degree
Coaching Certification
