Job Description
ABIOMED is looking aCardiology Clinical Consultantwho will support our sales and training efforts in an assigned territory by promoting the understanding and use of our Impella product within Cardiology programs at medical institutions.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

* Patient Support:Improve patient outcomes through education and medical staff interaction. Visit all institutions where patients have been equipped with ABIOMED heart assist or heart replacement implants, collect patient data, document trip results, and communicate activities with other team members and sales counterpart.

* Education/Clinical Demos:Arrange or assist in coordinating on site clinical demos to educate all levels of the medical staff.

* Account Training:Manage customer education for new accounts and existing accounts. Coordinate activities with sales counterpart and document results of each trip.

* On Call:Maintain availability and manage calls (24 x 7) as indicated by the rotation schedule. Approximately one week out of every five weeks. Visit customer sites within and outside assigned territory as required. Coordinate with Clinical Director

* Animal Labs:Set up and conduct animal labs in conjunction with company policy and work closely with surgeon/cardiologist (presenter) on didactic content and lab activities

Skills/Requirements
Job Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree in a health care discipline (RN or Perfusionist preferred)
* 5 years of Cath Lab experience related to the cardiology patient population
* Experience working in a business setting is preferable
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Fluency with public speaking and platform training
* Highly developed organizational skills
* Ability to travel

Job Description
ABIOMED is seeking an experiencedClinical Research Safety Managerto be responsible formonitoring clinical trial execution with respect to patient safety

Responsibilities Include:

* Processing, evaluating and quality checking (QC) Serious Adverse Events and Post Marketing Adverse Events within agreed timeframes and to a high standard of accuracy while ensuring compliance with business rules, standard operating procedures and global regulatory requirements.

* Representing the Clinical Affairs team on cross-functional teams that deal with safety matters and special projects related to our investigational and marketed devices.

* Evaluating and quality checking Serious Adverse Events and Post Marketing Adverse Events to ensure accurate and consistent data entry and processing from source documents while emphasizing timeliness and quality.

* Reviewing and incorporating medical knowledge for logic checks (CRF interpretation, report review); reviews and interprets lab test results for clinical significance.

* Ensuring accurate and consistent coding of medical history, and adverse event terms. Reviewing data coding including adverse events, medical histories, physical examinations, and medication coding as required. Generate patient narratives and first medical reviews.

* Ensuring that each case receives appropriate medical review and that all reports which require expediting to FDA are processed swiftly and appropriately within required timelines.

* Identifying follow-up data required and ensuring that appropriate measures are taken to obtain follow-up data while working with in-house CRAs, Project Managers, Clinical Research Operations Director and other ABIOMED partners (e.g., Clinical Research Organizations, Central and CoreLabs and outsourced Monitors). 

* Providing internal and external (in-services in clinic and partners) staff education concerning ABIOMED research protocols and safety directives.

Skills/Requirements
Required Skills:

* BS in life science required.
* Must have 3+ years of experience in clinical research and/or safety.
* Work experience in the medical, science or as an RN is a plus, cardiovascular background preferred.
* Experience with prior clinical trials for cardiovascular medical devices is preferred
* Must be familiar with laws, regulations, standards and guidance governing the conduct of clinical studies
* Must be familiar with medical terminology
* Computer skills in: PowerPoint, Word and Excel (MS Office)
* The ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines is essential
* Occasional travel required.

Job Description
ABIOMED is seeking an experienced IT Technical Support Specialist to be the first point of contact for staff seeking technical assistance for technology issues. They will provide technical support over the phone and in person, and maintain the smooth operation of the Abiomed computer and software resources.
Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:
?Primary responsibility is user support and customer service. Be present and visible in the Help Desk and available to users requiring technical assistance.
? Respond to questions from callers and walk-ins; remotely assist Employees with technology problems in offices, labs, and clean rooms.
? Learn fundamental operations of commonly used software, hardware, and other equipment.
? Follow standard Help Desk operating procedures; accurately log all Help Desk contacts using call tracking software.
? Manage the circulation of loaner systems, projectors, or other materials as appropriate.
? Assist in the configuration and administration of Exchange 2007 based VoIP and email systems.
? Perform basic system maintenance, repairs, backups, software patches, and upgrades.
? Develop application and desktop deployment strategies using Ghost, AD, & SMS.
? Manage user & group accounts for network access, remote access, and applications.
? Distribute files, software updates, antivirus updates.
? Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, systems, networks, and change-control.
?Develop and respond to appropriate service level agreements and metrics.
? Maintain reasonable discipline and decorum in the Help Desk and computer lab areas.
? Other duties as assigned by the IT Operations Manager or other Abiomed staff.

Skills/Requirements
? BA/BS or equivalent experience with current MCSE, CCNA, and A+ preferred.
? Friendly presence and helpful attitude; good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.
? Ability to provide technical support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, previous customer service experience strongly desired.
? Good problem solving skills; ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
? Good experience supporting support Windows XP systems.
? Good experience supporting various Microsoft software packages including Office.
? Ability to handle constantly changing flow of traffic; remain productive during slow times, be able to multitask effectively during busy times, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations.
? Creativity. Ability to think around problems and come up with creative solutions is helpful.
? Ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision.
? Working knowledge of common operating systems and software applications.
? Exposure to operating in a regulated environment (Sarbanes Oxley, FDA, HIPAA, COBIT, ITIL).
? Occasional domestic & international travel & On-Call Rotation Required.
