Collect rejected material from the assembly areas, match the items up with records in the rejects database and check that database entries are reasonable and correct. Perform necessary inventory transactions in the business computer system and determine disposition or mark for analysis or further evaluation by responsible Product/Quality Engineer. Expedite final disposition as required. Record additional data and final disposition in the rejects database. Scrap material in an environmentally correct way per company procedures. Arrange for return of material to suppliers as required.
Create weekly supplier notifications on rejected material using queries and reports in the rejects database. Maintain email addresses of supplier?s quality representatives and electronically send the notifications to them. Respond to requests for additional information, photos, samples etc. from suppliers concerning rejected materials.
Assist with non-conforming material responsibilities, specifically data entry using the ESPA (reject database).
Responsible for creating SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Reports) & Containment Reports and other follow-up activities involved with the process.
Completion of SCAR data entry activities in SAP and back end notification processes.
Provide updated reports to the Sourcing & Engineering teams during supplier quality meetings.
Assist Buyers in obtaining credit from suppliers for rejected material.
Strong computer/software skills using MS Office, SAP & Lotus Notes required.
Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques is critical.

Req Description The Project Manager has lead responsibility for the successful execution of electrical transmission

The primary objective of an ABB Project Manager is to delivery to the customer a completed
project that meets or exceeds the customerâ??s expectations.
Plan and manage medium to large size electrical transmission HVDC, and FACTS turnkey
projects.
Analysize proposals, requirements and specifications. Coordinate project activities, arrange
staffing for each phase of the project and assign specific responsibilities. Ensure that overall
efforts are in concert with customer and Company requirements.
Review and approve purchase orders for contract materials and services, and approve quality
assurance and control requirements. Ensure timely delivery of quality information and materials,
product quality and field service product performance. Review status reports and modify plans or
schedules, as necessary, to ensure contract parameters are met. Manage project risks to avoid
incurring delays, cost overruns, quality defects, etc.
Maintain close contact with customers and project participants to identify and resolve issues of
mutual concern and to seek opportunities for additional business. Ensure timely contract
completion, customer satisfaction, and desired financial return. In conjunction with related groups,
develop business projections and implement strategies to achieve growth/profitability objectives,
and ensure responsiveness to customers.
Manage and document employee performance and prepare associated recommendations while
concurrently ensuring fair and equitable treatment.  

Education Bachelor's Degree (3-4 years)
A BSEE or equivalent experience is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications
and other equivalent project management software such as Microsoft Project and / or Primavera is
desirable.  

Interpersonal Skills Excellent oral and written communication skills  

Work Experience Requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in project management and HVDC, FACTS and/or
Substation technologies. Familiarity is needed with A/E procurement, design and construction
practices, and utility / industry accepted practices.
Additional skills: Strong interpersonal skills are required to manage a group, achieve cooperation and reach
agreement with customers and suppliers. Requires technical and business skills to evaluate and
solve problems, and to cost-effectively meet tight schedules while ensuring customer satisfaction
